...........DJ Reality is a longstanding member of the NYC Underground. Born and Raised in Brooklyn, he encountered dance music and the club/rave scene at a very early age. Upon this discovery he was immediately drawn to the turntables and the power they wield. Reality cut his teeth playing some of Brooklyn’s grittiest outlaw parties in the early to mid 90s, performing for many of NYC’s most notorious underground crew’s. He was noticed here by several promoters and given his chance to shine at some of NYC’s and the East Coast’s largest club & rave events. Several mix tapes and CD’s later, DJ Reality unlike many others still stands strong, withstanding the test of time with each needle to the groove. Having honed his skills for over a decade now, he is looking forward to the future and is poised to take 2007 by storm. -- ROB REWIND
15yr veteran DJ from BROOKLYN, NYC...raised by classic rock-n-roll and blues and by age 13 began spinning hip hop and house for a number of years.....Then one day in November of 94' a friend of mine said lets go to this party and there is where I found my love for techno and electronic music in general......I surged headlong into spinning acid and trance and quickly progressed into a Hard Techno and Tech-House dj and it has been that way ever since....
While spinning some of the biggest parties/events(Irsh Spring..NY, 1st,2nd,3rd Sign..NY, Countdown 8..NY, Summer Solstice..W VA, Acid Reign..NY,etc....) and clubs(Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium, Speeed afterhours, Amazura, Coliseum.....) in the early-late 90s and having a direct hand in the outlaw party movement here in NYC and participated in various other venues up and down the east coast...Have been fortunate enough to have been involved in some of the hottest parties and events here in NY working with friends like...my partner in crime Rob Rewind of A.I.R.S. prod, Jon Delts of NinEleven skate shop and production crew, also with Joey Bam Bam and Eddie Bugz of Unforgiven Salvation and Keith Kinetic and Jimmy Daly of Dysfunctional Underground....
so before you continue I just wanna say a couple things....what happens when you start out very young in this game and a couple years go by and people start to know you and recognize you, then you wake up one morning and say wow I need a break for a minute...so thats what I did...I took a 2 year hiedous from 2001-2003 and because of that I had started fading from memories but I'll have you know...I AM STILL HERE and AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE AGAIN...its the whole OUTTA SITE OUTTA MIND mentality for people and if they dont see you they wont remember you...I am relatively new at actually writing and producing my own music and have spent alot of my time and energy in the past 2.5 yrs focusing to produce my own style of music.....even tho we have to evolve as artists and learn new ways of expressig our love for music I will always incooperate vinyl records into my sets and PAs .....
