Tracy Recordings is a fresher than fresh new label from Barcelona. A product of endless sweaty nights in underground nightclubs and other dubious hot spots, it’s the Brainchild of four of the most eager minds in Barcelona’s elecronic scene. Tracy Recordings is the new adventure of Kosmos, one of the top spanish dj’s, also responsable for Palace Recordings and a miriad of other creative things, alongside Ginebra, dj, producer and nightlife personality, Funkmasta, skillfull producer, dj and musician and Alex Dellarge promoter extraordinaire, dj and talented producer. Taking their name from the famous porn star Tracy Lords, they try to pay homage to her talents to subert morals and good taste, basically beacuse they want to tease you and provoke a reaction. Punk as fuck, that’s the way they like it.
Tracy Recordings is a unique iniciative in the spanish electronic scene, focusing on eclectic club sounds, away from the dominant minimal techno suff. Tracy’s sound is somewhere between the american sound of Diplo, Klever or Spank Rock, the europeaan dirty electro of Ed Banger or Institubes, the rebirth of retrodiscorock sounds, DFA stylee and basically eclectic, non predictable suff. To make things loud and clear the first release"Music For Bitches" is a hedonistic compilation to show the World their exciting roster of up and coming talent. That include the french Monster P, Kidz On Glue , alongside local artists like Supercola, Ravenheads, TheAmplid, Sidechains, Bitcode or The Lords Of Tracy a.
