Sziasztok barataim!!! BIENVENUE MES AMI(E)S!!! Welcome!

About Me

Back from a 3 month tour in India, and left with more questions and uncertainties than I can count on my fingers. Travelling through India, you see so many things that make you see the futility of some of our superficial values in life, that our society creates for us. I'm not about to say that "I'm a changed person"....I haven't changed that much, as other people claim it has done for them. I am still the same old me, clumsy, insecure and ridiculously indecisive. But I have come back with a better knowledge of another culture. It was an experience I'll keep with me for life. I hope to return someday, in fact. As for what I am to do now...plan is to move to Toronto. Then we shall see from there! I won't begin to list my aspirations, but I'd like to get settled in somewhere eventually. I've been movin around a fair bit. I don't think Toronto is the place...but it's my stepping stone down a long and winding road of obsticles and possibilities....FOR ANYONE THAT'S INTERESTED THEY CAN VIEW MORE PICS OF MY ART AND MY LIFE AT THE FOLLOWING PAGE: www.eszterc.spaces.live.comI edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

My Interests

..ART!...Note: its not called being artsy fartsy!!!! I'm a creative soul (gawd that sounds cheesy)who loves to express herself through her work....at least I attempt to. Anyone whose ever tried it can agree, that its not necessarily always that easy to do. Painting and sculpting are my favorite mediums...Coming from BC....being surrounded by nature, made it hard for me not to love the out doors. I enjoy hiking and camping....no issues with "roughing it".Travelling is a must! I've been very fortunate in my life to have travelled as much as I have.....I love seeing new places, experiencing new tastes, exploring new cultures and meeting new ppl.

I'd like to meet:

Here's a quote from a very good book everyone should read at some point in their lives. The book's title is "Birds without wings" by Louis De Berniere. I hope that everyone can agree with what is stated here... "History has no beginings, for everything that happens becomes the cause or pretext for what occurs afterwards, and this chain of cause and pretext stretches back to the palaeolithic age, when the first Cain of one tribe murdered the first Abel of another. All war is fratricide, and there is therefore an infinite chain of blame that winds its circuitous route back and forth across the path and under the feet of every people and every nation, so that people who are victims of one time become victimisers a generation later, and newly liberated nations resort immediately to the means of their former oppressors. The triple contagions of nationalism, utopianism and religious absolutism effervesce together into an acid that corrodes the moral metal of race, and it shamelessly and even proudly performs deeds that it deem vile if they were done by another."

Music:

Music to me is like a soundtrack to my life. I enjoy many kinds of music, from world music, to rock, classical, ska, latin, alternative, big fan of british pop......anything that suits my mood. Songs reflect my emmotions, the many issues that are affecting me in my life, the struggles, the joys, and it even inspires me to do many things. Music gives me hope and even dispair......but sometimes even silence is blissful.

Movies:

Hmmmm.....well let's see "The Notebook" "Stealing Beauty" Bernardo Bertolucci,"Cinema Paradiso", "Dot the I", "Big Fish", "Finding Nemo","The Cook,The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover" by Peter Greenaway, "Night on Earth",Jim Jarmusch, to name a few......"stay" which was incredible cinematography in my opinion.....art in a complex, demented way. Worth seeing at least once......and sure I like my chick flicks!Sorry guys, I am still a girl in many ways. Thankfully my boyfriend doesn't seem to be too disgusted by it. I'm tolerable I guess......even though I cry at almost every movie.....pathetic I know!Everyone knows I hate Horror films....I just don't enjoy that "thrill" everyones so hyped up about when they get the living daylights scared out of them!

Television:

Don't watch T.V. unless its the news....otherwise its really a waste of precious time. And a good way to rot ur brain...

Books:

Well Louis De Berniere is my favorite writer......all I can say is read his books if u've got a sarcastic, cynical and odd sense of humour. His fictions are a true insight to our present world. "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov is another "Sophie's World", "Ugly American"...

Heroes:

SOME QUOTES TO LIVE BY:"Suffering is the offspring of violence. Realise this and be ever vigilant" Acarangasutra 3.13"The wise man looks upon life as a mere dew drop which quivers upon the tip of a blade of kusa gras, to be whisked off or blown away by the breeze at any moment." Acarangasutra 5.5"There are two kinds of statistics: the kind you look up and the kind you make up" Rex Stout" A drop of ink can make a million think"" Life is like a book; those who do not travel only read a page"
