My name is Tolis Polichroniadis. I was born in Athens, Greece and this is also where I live. I am a painter/illustrator and a musician.
I have been working as a set painter for theater and tv since 1997. From 2002 onwards I began working as an illustrator for books and computer games as well. Currently I am having a close collaboration with the national opera house in Athens (Lyriki Skini). Some of the projects I have been involved with as a set painter include operas "Tosca", "Triple Bill", "La Boheme", Il Trovattore", the tv series "Theatrika Monoprakta", Stin Ygeia mas" for National Television channel and "Gorgones" for Mega channel. As an illustrator I have done lead concept art for "Conspiracies 2" a soon to be released computer game and the second greek production of its kind. Under the the same capacity I have worked for tv series "Aftoptis Martys"(Mega channel) and also as an illustrator for books.
As a musician I play the (electric) guitar and I do programming. I do have an interest for different types of music. Thus I can get acquainted with a variety of styles and ideas also serving as a source of inspiration for my own projects. I am member of Sugah Galore (funk/rock/alternative experimental) and Slavebreeed (grindcore). I am also collaborating or have collaborated with Deus Ex Machina (punk rock heroes of the greek scene), Blend Sextet (electro funk/hip hop), Aza (IDM/abstract), Three Way Plane (alternative rock), Nixx Niva (electro punk). Here I have to make an honorary mention of the band I started with, Crimson Sunsets (experimental death rock, so to say...). My very personal project is Nanouk (electronica).
