About Me

A Mindivided formed in 2004 with Adam Contreras (vocals), Brian Johnson (guitar), Gabriel Sandoval (guitar) Eamonn Comerford (bass), and Chris Lippke (drums). Their first album "Trepanation" was released in early 2006 and was well received locally. It covered a wide range of aggressive styles showing influences from heavy metal, hard core, punk, progressive rock, and pop. In mid 2008, Brian left the group to continue his graduate studies and A Mindivided recruited guitarist Aaron Welch to take over his duties.
A Mindivided's second album "Dilate" was released on May 1, 2009. It is 8 tracks of unrelenting hard rock. On this release, the band focus their art and step away from the bands that originally influenced them into their own style. Aggressive tracks like "Pig" and "Contempt" showcase the full fury of the 5 piece ensemble while more accessible cuts like the title track "Dilate" and "Just Pretend" show that the band can present melody while still staying true to their roots.
"Dilate" is the culmination of 2 years of hard work. The band plans to promote it throughout the summer of 2009, before starting to write for their next album.
