Producer: Pascal Sterling already started at a young age to write and compose music. Earlier in different big band formations and school orchestras, playing piano, guitar, bass and later the drums, he has always been interested in different types of music styles. Torn between rehearsals, theater, band and orchestra, Pascal Sterling rapidly developed an interest for organizing bigger projects. Meanwhile he has completed a lot of projects, involving quite a few singers and musicians, one of them also containing a benefit-CD for the charity organization Caritas Switzerland. Pascal Sterling displays a high quality in his work and always demonstrates passion in what he does. His greatest passion is to write film scores! He also works as a vocal couch for phrasing and English pronunciation within music tracks.
Arranger and Orchestrator: Pascal Sterling is a experienced arranger and orchestrator, from stringed ensembles, brass formations, large orchestral formations and of course a lot of pop, rock and electronic music. He also is the arranger and music leader of the Big Band Zurich and does orchestrations for the group on a regular basis.
Lyricist: Because he lived for many years abroad and grew up in an English/American surrounding, Pascal Sterling differences from most of the Swiss lyricists. Thanks to a lot of experience, his lyrics obtain the needed phrasing and right expression. He also occupies himself with German lyrics, yet his expertise lie in the area of English works.
Audio Engineer: As in a lot of the younger bands, Pascal Sterling as guitarist was in charge of the demos and mixes on there MD or HD-Recorders. He was always fascinated by the idea of getting the played notes on a device and altering them at will. In the year of 2003, he got the opportunity of working in one of the major studios, Soundville Recording Studios AG in Lucerne as an assistant engineer and developed his hearing expectations of music and sound. Thanks to the extremely versatile and broad education of the studio, Pascal Sterling gathered a lot of experience of recording and mixing big music formations like big bands, choirs and orchestras of different kind, but also radio spots, pop rock productions, open air plays and Surround-DVDs. By now Pascal Sterling is working in the Soundville Recording Studios as a full time engineer, educating there new assistant engineers and always has an open ear for challenging projects. He has recently, successfully completed his federal exams as an audio engineer. Pascal Sterling is currently working in the Swiss TV-Station in Oerlikon, yet can also be heard working in the Soundville Studios. Personal: Pascal Tsering, alias. Pascal Sterling born in 1983 in Basel (CH) was always musically active, playing piano, guitar, bass and later the drums. He crossed a lot of different music styles, from classic to jazz and later electro and hip hop. Pascal Tsering lived with his family in Africa, Asia and could that way collect a lot of cultural backgrounds and customs. He visited for a couple of years the American School in Malaysia and could there collect his first experiences with a string orchestra. Formerly playing in music formations, workshops and band, Pascal Tsering discovered the technical side of the music: composing and arranging music pieces. His passion for music and sound continuously lets him stride into new challenging regions.
