Dynamite comes in small packages, or at least this is true of Saskatoon’s five foot small bassist and vocalist Ms. Teegan Jeffers. Born and raised in the Paris of the Prairies, Teegan began studying bass at Marion Graham Collegiate, focusing her attention to classical and jazz music. After graduating in 2004, Teegan began studying Music Education at the University of Saskatchewan and began playing professionally around Canada soon after.
Over the past 10 years, Teegan has had the privledge of sharing the stage with many artists including Saskatoon’s Sexually Attracted to Fire, Bassavoce, the Tin Bridge Sextet, Mark Dejong, Matty Powell and the Great Train Reverie, the Megan Lane Band, Quartology, Dean McNeill, Suzie Vinnick, Roy Sydiaha, Llew Matthews, Kristin Korb, Paul Tobin, The Weber Brothers, Theresa Sokyrka and Andrea Menard’s the Velvet Devil.
Currently Teegan's free spirited and sassy bass lines can be heard regularly in experimental jazz project, Bassavoce, featuring vocalist Gillian Snider. Teegan also plays bass with Kamila Martel and the Ne'reDowells.
