I'm a musician/producer and writer currently living in Toronto. Past projects aside (it would take pages upon pages to describe my previous work) my current focus are my two main musical 'outlets'; a progressive death metal experiment called Netherscorn and a somewhat more docile 'symphonic metal' band known as Aphotica (Take the soundtrack from Lord of The Rings and add booming epic metal accompaniment, yes...Quite epic indeed).Among numerous other interests, I pursue peace and quiet whenever possible. Expensive local beers are an absolute necessity, as are decent thunderstorms and a tight circle of friends. (feel free to introduce yourself into said 'circle')I also shift over to photography from time to time. My focus is primarily portraiture and nature, though experimentation and conceptual abstractions are always welcome challenges. Aside from my 'career', I spend my time out and about, doing what I can to entertain myself (patio drinking for the most part). If you've read this far you're likely someone I would want to know. A few of my various 'professional' activities: I write screenplays, do voice-overs occasionally (movies, commercials, narrations, etc), an off-shoot of my writing interest is my tendency to write languages every now and again (to date I've crafted two, both with large vocabularies and a fairly solid syntax, though I'm constantly updating them).I don't have very strong religious views but if I had to decide, my belief concerning the issue would be something like this:To require a God for the purpose of self-actualization or to provide ones self with a sense of spiritual significance is to insist you are incapable of living life under your own power. It is to relinquish your mind and will to an abysmal fallacy that has poisoned the minds of the weak for thousands of years and has only served to distract us from finding our own strength, by our own will and design. 'Inventing' imaginary powers as a means of addressing our native insecurities will never provide the transcendence we seek; it can only serve to limit the intellectual and spiritual progress of the individual. 'God', is not something which can be provided by anyone else but yourself.
My Interests
I'd like to meet:
Individuals, those who desire not a life of servitude to the masses and who have no master. All who hear the whisper amongst the war.
