I was born in Milan (Italy) on March 12th 1974.
I started playing bass during high school years. Later, from 1995 to 1999, I studied bass and harmony & theory with Master Alberto Viganò while performing live (pop-rock, blues, funk, acid-jazz, etc...) with several bands in the Milan area.
In Jan 2000, I moved to New York City to attend BASS COLLECTIVE and study with renowed musicians like John Patitucci (Chick Corea Bands, solo artist), Matt Garrison (Joe Zawinul, John McLaughlin), Lincoln Goines (Dave Valentin, Mike Stern), Gregory Jones (Jon Lucien, Carly Simon) and Carlos del Puerto (world renowed cuban bassist with Irakere). Meanwhile, I attended several workshops held by Harvie Swartz, Alain Caron and Will Lee (David Letterman Show Band – CBS) and took part to a course on Contemporary Afro-Cuban bass-playing with Carlos del Puerto. I also performed live with electronic hip-hop duo Vortex.
Finally I achieved both the Collective “Certificate†and “Advanced Certificate†diplomas. I also made transcriptions for the instructional video “Making Music with Victor Wooten & Carter Beauford†for HUDSON MUSIC (DCI Music).
Once back in Italy, I performed live and in studio with several bands like CLUB TROPICANA (80's style dance), FUORI ORARIO (acid-jazz/soul) GIANNI BERNINI Group (jazz-latin-funk) EROTICA (Madonna tribute), PEOPLE UNDERGROUND (pop-rock), 70° FARENHEIT (70's style revival) FORTAREZZA (pop-rock), NIGHT SWINGERS (Jive-Swing), 2 MONDI (tribute to Italian artist Lucio Battisti), italian pop duo GEMINI and italian pop singer SHANTI.
In addiction, I performed with the PAPETTI PROJECT ensemble leaded by Marco Papetti, son of the legendary italian saxophonist Fausto Papetti, and with the musical STUDIO 54 (with Max Laudadio (Striscia LaNotizia), Gianni Cinelli (Zelig Off) and actor Mauro Di Francesco). In addition I've done clinics for Roland Italy.
Today I play with the rock band FLU and the AOR rock band EVA ("The One" - AOR Heaven/Point-Music 2001 and "Blue" - Heart Of Steel 2007).
By the same time I'm also involved in sessions and multimedia productions, I write for Strumenti Musicali Magazine and I work as Product Manager for Master Music S.r.l. (musical instrument distrubution).
