PURCHASE THE ALBUM - INHERITED BY EARTH - $5 USD
Diminishing Light began in the winter of 2008. Based between NY and the woods of North Western Connecticut, several songs were written and roughly recorded. Despite a bad case of frostbite, Inherited By Earth was recorded and self-released on CD (tape release planned on Black Moon Productions). At the moment, Diminishing Light has relocated to Prague, but music is still being written and recorded. A split CD featuring Diminishing Light/Havarax/Grisatre/Black Hate/ Funestia is to be released shortly. Diminishing Light will enter a studio in Prague soon to keep the tracks coming...

- DIMINISHING LIGHT REVIEWS
"Diminishing Light is one of my favorite musical entities I have discovered! I am listening now to the most recent material and I am feeling very hopeful for the future of not only Metal music but music in general! What we have here is a beautifully haunting, overwhelming sadness expressed through melodic guitar that moves through like waves slowly and softly crashing against the earth. There are times in "The Infinite" that I could swear I hear a choir accompanying maybe this is just many overlapping guitar tracks or some synth effect but it sounds great! All this music is done by one man, which I have learned is a positive thing, it just seems to make the music more isolating in nature. There are a lot of nuances within the riffs I don’t think I have ever heard such soul put into a metal release in a long time! A matter a fact the last thing I heard with this much depth was Emperor’s "In The Nightside Eclipse". A label needs to step up and help bring Diminishing Light to a wider audience because there is so much bullshit music getting supported it makes me sick!!! I believe that Diminishing Light is actually a healing experience! Hearing the reverberations of this one man’s emotions allows you to step out of yourself and look back in and see things in a new way! Does the light have to diminish completely for us to gain full knowledge and complete understanding of the self and its role in the whole?"
