.. 1977... Managua, Nicaragua... Six years later Miami is home... 2 me MUSIC is LIFE ...Everyday I wake up I thank GOD for the music...la familia que me dio...and my SOUL ..The concept of the DJ was introduced to me by my Cuz " El Controlador de Mentesss " ..back in 1990 in Fontana, California...I lived there for a year and in that time I was introduced to Underground Dance Music through the radio mix shows on Power 106.. I then moved back to Miami in 1991..and since that time I've been a fan of Electronic Dance Music..In 92 I discovered " The Best of House and Techno comps. " ( respects DB ).. The Prodigy, Clivilles + Cole, Praga Khan, Altern 8, Moby.. ..all where my 1st ear tasters and influences...Next from 93-95 I began to practice with some Denon cd players that had speed control functions... Druing my senior year in High School ( Coral Park 95-96 )..I began to spin at some house parties around Miami..I was heavly influenced @ the time by peepz like DJ Icey, Armand Van Helden, Richard Vission, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Hardware, Keoki... soon after I began playing venues @ diffrent club spots through out Miami Beach... In 1997 ..Society Hill came into my life..lol to the ones that recognize the name ...enough said... GOOD MEMORIES..a tru learning experience.. Groovejet 1998-2000.... that spot introduced me to resident dj Luis Diaz...Jon Cowan...plus.. Paul Van Dyk..Sasha..Jimmy Van M..Quivver..Dave Seaman.. Chris Fortier..Steve Porter.. for the 1st time ..LIVE!! .. me dancing my ass OFF ..thinking WOW...n I call myself a DJ ...LOL!! CRAZZY.. very intimidating but truelly a momment in time I will never forget...Druing these crazzy, learning , one of a kind timezz..I would work on mix compilations with my buds Vacom.. Rollie... Disco.. or do some on the solo tip..and no lie.. March 11 2000..[ Groovejet ]...I got the chance to throw down a set in the back patio [ thanks Marco ] ..but since 2001 I kept it more low key..more of a BEDROOM DJ you would say ...Sometimes working on a mix here and there @ The White Room .. sometimes you can find me spinnin a guest set at some private house party or playin an unexpected set @ any club or bar spot around South Florida....ohh in 2003 ..Cooljunkie had a DJ Contest ..Good times for me.. 4sureeee..I met some local talented peepz.. 2004.. experienced Ultra for the 1st time indeed..thanks to The Miami New Times-Ultra Dj contest...segundo lugar sometimes aint too bad... 2005 ...Winter Music Conference ..my 1st time attending ...a Rude awakening...fact!! but luvd every minute of it...plus my bud Jean Vega hooked it up with some spinin time @ a venue he was throwing..GRacias chavalo!! ..also ...I ran into this bad ass sound eng. ( AL )... and many other cool, down 2 earth, passionate peeps.. . ... 2006... checked out the WMC parties .. played some house parties around town .. kept it really low key [ work & family ] ... completed a few mixes ... 2007 daMm!! Kept busy working on payin the bills and so on...Not to much spinnin for me.. well maybe one or three gigs here n there.. but I must say this.. Checking out sets by Laurent Garnier.. James Zabiela... MSTRKRFT.. Tommie Sunshine & Oscar G.. WOww! Amazing timesss indeed.. Such an influence on me no doubt.. April 1 2008 ( 11: 25 pm ) .. .. Chillen in bed wondering what to say right about now ...
