Rockstar was created on february 2006 by two brothers Richie and Doug J. Rock (Guitar, Bass), after a long search that started the previous summer with the intent of creating a Hard Rock/Glam band in the style of the 80's. Andrew wall (Guitar), Johnny Brass (Drums) and Dyego Star (Vocals) later joined the band. The five musicians began right away to write original music, and after just two months they made their first live appearance in one of the biggest live clubs in Tuscany, "Cencio's".
From the very beginning the band displayed a strong predisposition for live performances, earning positive reviews and succeeding at involving the crowds in their frantic shows.
The concert activity continued on and dragged the band around the region. Towards the end of the year, thanks to the band Rattlesnake, they participated at Bordercontest, a contest carried out at the Borderline Club in Pisa.
Here the band was noticed by Costa Ovest Records, the label that organized the event. The newborn partnership led the band to the recording of their first EP "Dusk Till Dawn", wich was presented at the Siddharta Club for the American Glam Slam II night, where Rockstar opened the show for bands such as Enuff Z 'Nuff and Faster Pussycat. The record, released on the 10th of May, contains 5 songs reflecting the major influences of the band (Aerosmith, Rush, Motley Crue, Toto, Whitesnake...). Rockstar is continuing their live activity at the moment, promoting their EP on tour.
