Sam Langston

Born in Armidale, NSW, Sam has grown up with rich influences from rock, country and blues. Living in small communities of 100 people through to rural cities and major centers on the North Coast, NSW Sam has developed a passion and desire for music that will always have him hunting down the local music scene.

Since 2005 Sam has attended Southern Cross University, Lismore Campus, studying Bachelor of Contemporary Music/Secondary Education learning from session greats such as Greg Lyon, Jim Kelly and Steve Russell. In his time at the university he has learnt many skills that have become necessary for his success in the music industry.
Sam has played with many bands ranging in styles. He has learnt alot from these bands and their members. These include:

The Fellons
Etcetera
Simon Wilson Band

Currently Sam is working with The Villain (based in Byron Bay, signed to Counter God Records), Schmaltz Jazz Quintet, and The Dark Alley Desert Belles. With gigs stretching from Brisbane to Sydney to Melbourne and interest in the New York, US the future looks bright.
