ArtRebels Rec. is more of a music collective than an traditional record label. It is a family of Copenhagens finest underground producers, dj's and vocalists, working in various constellations. It is a platform for danish artists to create, to get inspired and to promote their music from. We work closely with the NYC based blog and label Palms Out - together we build a bridge between the copenhagen artists and electronic artists from all around the world.
We wish to bring the vibrant sound of Copenhagen to the rest of the world.
We sell music, make inhouse compilations, promote parties and do events and so much more.
ArtRebels started out as an idea in founder, Carla Cammilla Hjort s head, of combining a record label that gave its artists complete creative control over their material and a matching on-line music, art, and film shop. ArtRebels Rec. is under the creative umbrella
ArtRebels.com which represents fashion, art, visuals, living, fanzine, non-profit organizastion HeartRebels, netwoking community, events and ArtRebels web and communication.
In december 2007 NYC based producer, Rasmus BilleBancke aka. POPDADDY , joined the Artrebels Crew and became co-owner of Artrebels Rec.
In January 2008 Rita Biza (from the dj-duo LadyBox ), Elena Carli Cosovic (aka MC ENA from DJ/MC duo Fagget Fairys ) and Ditte Hegelund (the events & promotion queen) joined forces to create the ArtRebels Rec. producer/dj team.
