..After playing guitar for the past 10 years in jazz and groove based bands, I gave up playing my ever trusty arch top and swapped it for a nylon string guitar. For the past year or so I have spent my time in the woodshed trying to nurture my mind and develop sturdy hands. I was under the grave impression that I had done all the hard work years ago and that my technique was rock solid. Oh, how wrong I was. But now I can feel that playing the nylon string guitar has made my music stronger than ever. The music that I now play is rich with melody and counter melody and it has unveiled a nature in music I have not quite seen before. For the moment I am tackling some choro tunes and to make me strong and humble I am playing some classical repertoire.I hope to post as many songs as I can on this space and turn them over regularly. I have some new recording gear and I am putting together some duet arrangements to record. This is my new virtual performance space. I will be here until the tunes and my playing take me elsewhere. When you pass by this space, let me know what you think and tell me what else is out there to influence the music I play.
