Camping, canoing, horseback riding, hiking, archery, target shooting, swimming, hanging out around a campfire with friends, photography, sketching and painting, travel, people and nature watching, concerts and music, festivals and powwows, art and history museums, antique and craft markets, dancing . . . walks in gentle, misty rains and fairy-dust snows, watching the sunset, spending time with my kids and grandkids, enjoying my friendship with my mother. I traveled a lot growing up and I'd like to get back to traveling again . . . show my teenagers this beautiful country while they are still with me . . . introduce my grandchildren all the wonders of nature . . . and should I be so blessed, I'd like to see the world and my favorite places hand-in-hand with a beloved.
Any of my heros . . . anyone who qualifies as a hero by doing, being and living the values of love and compassion for others and this beautiful planet we all share.
I love the good old fashioned Rock-n-Roll, Blues, and Motown I was raised on along with the Jazz, Swing, and Blues of my parents' generation. I weaned my kids on Fleetwood Mac, CCR, Eagles, Clapton, Henley, Queen, Bowie, Phil Collins, and Elton John. I listen to the newer pop and rock as well (GreenDay, Howie Day, ColdPlay, etc). I also love world music - Native American (north and south), Celtic, and Gypsy music are particular favorites. I enjoy the ethnic dances of those cultures as well. Music moves stirs my soul and moves me deeply. I don't just listen to one thing - I like variety to match the mood I'm in or would like to be in, the occasion and/or the scenery around me.Music Video:
