My name is Matthew. I was born and raised and still reside in the tactfully named city of Coon Rapids. I think good music is nice and great music is groovy. I enjoy writing, albeit I'm not claiming myself to be a writer, but maybe someday I'll get there. Right now, my talent is coming up with scenarios and lines, but not so much the actual narrative. Nothing beats a great movie for me. I like happy endings but still usually like it when a story ends with a not-so-happy conclusion because the victory isn't in the ending- its in the telling of the story. I always enjoy a good cuddle, coupled with a joyous snuggle. My way of relaxing is rocking out to music in the bathroom (right now the cds in my bathroom are: Beatles: Love, Walking with the Beggar Boys by Elf Power, The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society, The Stubbs the Zombie Soundtrack, Phantom Punch by Sondre Lerche, Nighttiming by Coconut Records, and Working Class Hero: the Definitive John Lennon). I fricken LOVE walking/jogging to the Coon Rapids Dam and finding a place to sit and think or people watch. I prefer to do that with somebody with me. I prefer that somebody to be a lady. To fully understand my sense of humor, you must watch these movies/shows: Rushmore, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Arrested Development, The Office, Daily Show/Colbert Report, The Tick (live action), and Scrubs. Barack Obama is pretty much my political hero at the moment. I am very much in support of embryonic stem cell research. I also support the formation of a universal health care plan like that found all over in europe and canada. I teach 10-12 year olds in sunday school. I'm not very good at it, but that wont stop me from trying.
Two things I despise:
1. The shallowness that all of us are at least a little guilty of. Some more than others...
2. Guys that treat women like trash yet still charm their way out of being universally despised by the fairer gender...those pricks...
Ok, I can't leave you on that so, in closing I'll say this (en français!):
