About Me

Everlasting, Limitless, Boundless…description…Infinite…recognized as a two time Much Music and Juno Award winner with previous group Ghetto Concept.Infinite, a.k.a. D Francis grew up in Rexdale, a small district of West Toronto, plagued for incidents of crime. Rexdale birthed his melodic gift and love for music, some of his influences include Run DMC, Michael Jackson and Bob Marley. It is also the community where sadness and anger manifested to an infinite intensity. On November 18 1995, his brother, Shawn Francis was brutally murdered, leaving him with Cain, his brother. Under the full scope of tragedy, mixed in with artistic ability and skill, Infinite and older brother Cain, C.E.O. of Lockdown Entertainment Inc. abided to create rap music on a new level. In 1997, Infinites’ EP “360˚”was released, it quickly became the top selling record for five weeks in a row; a first for distribution company PageMusic Inc. Also, “360˚” noted as the first Canadian independent album to produce a musical video for every original track.Gotta Get Mine” his first single, entered charts in the Top Ten and was chosen by EMI/Beatfactory as their first track on RapEssentials Volume Two. “Take a Look” won the Much Music Best Rap and Best Independent Video Award in 1999; the crowd wowed at his brilliant performancLater in his career he wove his talents together by adding a voice over and score for “Street Fighter 3”, Japanese arcade game produced by Capcom. Infinite also appeared in The Stan Tookie Williams Movie, “Redemption” with Oscar winner, Jamie Fox and Lynn Whitfield. In May 2005, he played a football player in a Reebok (G-Unit) Commercial, adjacent to Rapper, 50 Cent and NFL Quarterback, Donovan McNabb. With vast success on the charts and a developing roster of film credits, the millennium appeared bright for Infinite…but soon the passed caught up to his future causing his music, his character and his body to be imprisoned. After taking a hiatus, older and wiser, Infinite is free from mental chains of destruction.Released in 2006 “A Criminal Mind” celebrates the life of Stan ‘Tookie’ Williams (Peacemaker and Anti-Gang Activist) featured with Wes ‘Maestro’ Williams (Canadian Pop Culture Icon) and Gowan (Multi-Platinum Canadian Rock Legend). He performed this song as a musical component to the theatrical ceremony; “Witness to an Execution” co-produced by Barbara Becnel, Governer candidate for the State of California, advocate, co-author and friend of Stanley 'Tookie' Williams. The New York Times covered this tribute. In his commitment to the pursuit of peace, he demonstrates his range as an artist and his genuine interest for activism for social economic issue, politics and high risk neighbourhoods. His accomplishments speak for themselves…numerous album sales, devoted fans, accolades in music, television, gaming and film. There is no stopping him; his marvels are Infinite.
