Oak Island Recordings

About Me

Business partners Matthew Ritzel and Tyler Whitlatch have various experiences in the music industry to provide a backdrop that is full of possibilities. Tyler Whitlatch is a professional guitarist who has played in touring bands such as Sleeping Through Sirens and has gained label attention. Currently playing in a band with now defunct Equal Vision Records band Versus The Mirror, Tyler provides the musician half of the recording/producing team that is Oak Island. With a wealth of background in college radio, interviews, CD reviews, marketing, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, Matthew knows the twists and turns of the music industry, especially when it comes to that pop hook! No band is too big or too small for Oak Island. From rock n' roll to classical and everything in between, our boards are ready to be lit up!
