There are too many words...yet there is one universal language that we all speak, without saying a word. Music. A driving force in my life, much like poetry, to me, music is poetry in motion.
Music:
Hip Hop is my heart. Big props to LL for givin' me rhythm to dance to in '89, Boy's II Men for givin' me soul in tha 90's n' Russell Simmons for makin' tha beat possible. Represent: 42nd Entertainment ~ Do it big n' do it right! The Beatles, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Nickleback, John Legend, NAS, Willy Porter, Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. Just a few that came to mind...my music changes with my mood like all of ours does. I love music that tells a story, real and true.
Television:
Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Extreme Home Makeover. Family Guy, almost anything on E! and any VH1/MTV production that revolves around music.
Books:
Lovely Bones - My favorite. Dante's Inferno is another that I loved reading. I've read it twice and still find myself analyzing ~ What if??
Heroes:
As cliche as it is, My Family. Daddy. Where do I begin? You have taught Meghan and I so much. It's only money!! You don't know how much you have given us with those words. Money does make the world go 'round but, with those words you and Mom have taught us that it's not money but Love that makes the world go 'round. You have always supported your family and you have(literally)worked your fingers to the bone to make sure We are ok. Mom, to you I would give the world yet it wouldn't be enough. Strength, fortitude and faith. You have given me a warm and inviting path to the future, without it I would stray. My sister...you are the true symbol of resilience. You are now and forever will be my best friend. Thank you.
