Okay so now that Venga Digital is 16 releases old, what have we learned about this set of humble lads from Burnley? (....where??)
Headed up by electro pest Liam Vizzle, the label has come along way since its first release Rustler - This is Not a Drill which was released in May 2008.
Originally started as a side project to the clubnight Venga, the label proved to surpass its humble origins, to sit - almost a year later - right next to the heavyweights in the Electro industry. Accolades and praise from names such as Micky Slim, Stupid Fresh, HiJack, Lee Mortimer and many more ensure that the label is making waves, to the people that matter.
Not that the label forgets the people that make the industry tick... Venga Digital actively promotes unsigned talent, and personally responds to every demo sent in - and includes them in a monthly unsigned chart, honouring those tracks the deserve a leg-up but that are no quite there in terms of making it to release stage.
Venga Digital also prides itself in the quality of output, and the list of past remixers, and forthcoming remixers resembles a whos who of the electronic dance music Industry, such stars as........ (deep breath) ..... Ed Kane, Stupid Fresh, Will Bailey, Bryan Cox, Heavyfeet, Lee Mortimer, Twocker (RiP), Kelevra, Rene Van Munster, Rudder, Chris James and many more....
Lest we forget the Artist Roster... which pioneers the future-proof vibe that Venga is all about, getting in there first on the likes of Mightyfools, Rustler and Spangled Ballet - and recent additions Jackinori, Liam Vizzle and Si Biddle.
And the future?? Well 2009 kicks off with a Mightyfools EP, Ed Kane EP and a Kelevra EP - so aswell as championing new talent, the credibility of the label is now attracting bigger more established names!
Keep an eye out for Venga Digital in 2009!

Up next then for Venga Digital is a man we have been following for a while now... WONGO . Hailing from Gold Coast Australia, and with a heavy back catalogue already this man is only getting better.
For the remixes,
Tom EQ gives us that solid subby driving style, which will slot in anywhere.
Nick Supply ... err.... supplies us with a choppy electro groover in collab with Slidzik, and remixes from
Adam Bozzetto and
Liam Vizzle bring the package home.
The original, it should also be said is from the very top drawer, a nice synthy pattern, followed by a solid 4x4 sub bass line, a party starter for sure.
Get it from
25th May on Beatport, DJDownload, Juno Download, Itunes AND MORE!
