Griff Manumission

Manumission started out in 1994 as a way for two bored brothers to bring some life back to Manchester. Now it's its eleventh year in Ibiza as one of the world's biggest club names ? 110,000 people passed through their nights at Privilege ? and it's certainly the most notorious. Being hailed as the "musical architect of the whole spirit of Manumission, and one of the best residents around", by people such as Seb Fontaine and Sonique, he is their long standing resident from the early days in Manchester to the huge crowds of Ibiza. Manumission this summer was a spectacular triumph with Griff playing 4-6 in the main room which proved to be a huge success. Griff manages to bring a flavour of Manumission with him wherever he plays. He also plays at many of the island's other big nights; from the terraces of Cream and Space to the harder edged back room at Lashed. Over the years Griff has played across the UK incorporating legendary clubs such as the Hacienda and Vague as well as 051, Miss Moneypennys, Progress, Area and Passion to name but a few. He has also held residencies at Lacuna (Newcastle), the Kitchen (Dublin), the Met (Armagh) and Oephus (Belfast). Ibiza aside, Griff plays across the globe, regularly jetting out to places such as KM (Benidorm), Family (Toledo), Barraca (Valencia) and Palladium (Barcelona) and touring throughout Germany, Bahrain, Dubai, India, Australia, New Zealand and under the shadow of the Egyptian pyramids. In the past months he has produced a mix featured exclusively on Pete Tong's Friday night show on Radio 1 as well as broadcasting his own "postcard from Ibiza" every weekend on Galaxy FM. Recent highlights from Manumisison include a live PA with P Diddy for the launch of his "Lets get ill" track and a night long live broadcast from the club televised on Rapture TV. Throughout his career Griff has been featured as a DJ of the month in Muzik magazine as well as scooping awards in Mixmag and still continues to please the crowds with his inimitable style and feel for a good time.
