About Me

...sitp.. target="_blank"> ..sitp....just gettin down..im a self critical person...almost too much at times..the front of my mind dont care what anyone thinks, yet the back of my mind does slightly?..been underestimated and appreciated...ive won and ive lost...had brain farts and breathroughs...overall im glad to be a contributer to the artform..ive kicked it and worked with area cats and potentially more with time....ive been in two punk rock bands:the unexpected and click....which i feel helped shape me into how i write and feel...it was great times and im down for supporting the scene all together...ill prolly type my life story soon i guess... yay...here we go... i started out loving music at birth..my pops tells me when i was two he awoke in the morning only to find me on the floor playing with his records, which were all over the place..lol..and growing up ive gotten exposed to old rock and such..in elementary school i used to write strories about godzilla and monsters just for fun,id write a few pages at a time....my first tapes i can remember buying was pearl jam and kriss kross(wut a combo eh?) from then on it was nirvana and red hot chili peppers, blood sugar sex magic, progressing more into the years i really grew upon old school punk rock...like the misfits, dead kennedys, circle jerks, tsol, social distortion etc... it was then around middle school i started writing my own songs about pretty much wutever, but it was more aggresive with kind of a fuck you mentallity....it was also then i met tom(guitar),robert(bass),and andrew(drums,my bro jesse was the 1st drummer though)..we formed a band called click in which i was the singer/screamer..we would jam at roberts house and andrews old house..we were also getting active going to the cattle club and checkin out the shows(distorted fantasy, makebelieve boyfriends etc) and getting to understand the punk culture(well sewer style)..we managed to put some songs together and got asked to do our first show(with the magnolias) and man i was nervous but didnt wanna show it..haha..then down the road we managed to release a tape(which i still wish i had) and continued to do shows(with various drummers such as todd thomas and wes church) as the ''little kid band'' of sioux city..we played together throughout our years at woodrow wilson middle school and i think it ended right around when high school was beginning.. it was then i was talking to richie vomit(formerly of cross i'd,now in other various bands) about starting a band and thats when the unexpected formed...which was me,richie(guitar),todd(drums(truck stop mamas)),and we went thru a couple bass players but ky stuck with it the most....my hair was spiked and a spectrum of color as was the collars and arm bands...we wrote a good amount of songs and started to perform alot and actually gathered a lil following...(we also did social distortion covers, circle jerks, misfits etc)..playing with hardcore aggresiveness and playing fast saying fuck all trends and conformity, we had fun, took band pictures, and hung out..we were together thru my freshman and sophmore years in high school and managed to release one live tape which sounded pretty good..(also wish i had this tape) and i dont know wut happened but i think i started drifting away, skating more, hanging out with kids more my age group in the northside/midtown area, and started puffing cheeba and drinkin a lil more..they blame that on me forgetting lyrics to a song which never really had lyrics anyways, but nonetheless there was drifting and i unofficially/officially got the boot thru the rest of my high school years i was in a little hiatus on writing but still loved music,i went thru my master p, ugk phase and all that but wanted something more underground and more intelligent, something to inspire me and make me think....so wutang, gangstarr, krs one and a list of others i had in heavy rotation on the bus in my walkman, and cant forget i was getting into bob marley alot too..i met up with this graffitti dude named billy from arizona that actually traded his moment of truth cd for my wutang tape..he also filled me in on other hip hop cats such as del,and heiroglyphics etc..i also watched him put up pieces behind the old kd station and we would burn blunts up after school..he ended up moving to boston but i was chilling with skaters from west high and a skate shop opened up in which jason(the owner) helped expose more good stuff like living legends etc..so we would all skate and party and listen to music..we would also freestyle alot drunken for fun too..some of us got a place in riverside, flowsay had a drum machine and was already doing his thing for sure..we had parties and would set up shop in the basement..so him and biggs would come thru to chill party and get down..(lmao i remember the first basement battle;)!! and remember when fred sat on the table and broke the fucker!! lol)..so i wrote a shit ton more again and was starting to freestyle.. i ended up moving to my moms off of court street in the basement and blasted music and still freestyled(on the karoake machine lance gave us) and wrote alot..and any idiot drunk or tweeking or wutever stopping by that wanted to test me it was on..i entered the battle when the skate shop was in my favorite location on west 7th..(my 1st ''official'' i guess) served element, then biggs served my ass..but i met vital hours at this time and was offered a track(which never happened) since i did ok in it.. years of developing rhymes and styles trying to progress and whatnot...writing alot of material at work because my mind could roam more freely into lil notebooks which i still do to this day..elroy of slow and steady came thru one day and we all got down and he asked if i wanted to do a track..so a day or so later we puffed out and did a song called ''I.A.''..but never did anything else with him.. i met the top civilian at my moms on 14th and virginia.. the first thing we did was freestyle together but i dont think we kicked it quite yet..but we both knew poyo for awhile and poyo was good friends with my cousin adam..i would always see poyo around too everywhere like at the temple and other random parties and shows,etc..i also met spliff c and the first thing we did was freestyle too..sham godd told me he was lookin for a roomate so i moved in..it was freestyle bootcamp from there..all night every night..plus poppin pills, doing blow, drinkin, trippin all that shit..we would all chill and just get down..which helped me sharpen up my sword for sure and expand myself all around..it also helped that poyo would set up shop there and get down..after getting kicked out of indian hills and spliff c moving back to colorado i moved to my dads..still wrote alot and freestyling but not recording(unless you wanna count the tascam we use to fuck around with)..i moved out and salt and i got a place in the hood..poyo set up the first day we moved in on my floor i slept on since i didnt have a bed yet.. around this time i met this dude at work david and his bro jose..recorded walk,brew,etc..that was my 1st time recording into a peanut butter jar top and a panty hose popper..around this time we were also doing the radio show(which i miss) and recording gwd songs and all that..we moved to 23rd i met smalls and we got down and still get down..ive acquired alot of knowledge and dope beats from him too..violent designing for sure.. ok,so thats pretty much it..long story but there it is..we do shows get down and strive to progress..i dont get into politics around here nomore..just do my thing..stay tuned for more music and beats too..much love to you....
