I've been playing professionally since the late 70's. Many club cover bands, several years on the road doing showband for resort hotels and I have done my share of functions too. This type of experience has given me a broad range of playing styles, which I can draw from.
Here is a brief resume of bands:
1978 to 1980: The Flamingos: Notable Doo Whop band circa: 1950's Most famous for songs such as "I Only Have Eyes For You"; "Besame Mucho" and "Love Walked In": High End Show Band - Road gig. U.S. resort hotels, Vegas and Caribbean resort destinations
1981 to 1984: Ambiance: High energy dance band. Boston based nightclub circuit.
1984 to 1992: Suite Life: Club & GB: Most local wedding venues, Boston hotels and nightclub.
1992 to 2005: Common Ground Band: Club & GB: Assumed band leader duties. Most local and Boston wedding venues, Top of the Hub, Hotels and nightclub.
1999 - 2006 Lead guitarist and back up singer with original music artist Mark Pollock..... Junkyard Music Mark's unique style runs the gamut, from Country to Blues, Rock and R&B combined with intelligent lyric. In this setting I could play lyrical melodic, raunchy blues and slide to straight up rock styles.
Along with live performances I have also performed on 3 of his original music cd's. Mark Pollock and the big spenders: which was released late in 2000, and a 4-song EP CD, "Get What You Deserve," which was released in February of 2002. With the departure and arrival of new members, the name of the band was changed to Expenders in 2005, and the band entered the studio to record a new CD, which was released in September of 2006. The new CD, entitled Expenders, has 9 new tracks and also includes the 4 tracks from the 2002 EP, Get What You Deserve.
