dillon was born in New York but moved to London aged 3. He loved music from an early age - growing up on a mixture of everything from Mozar to The Beatles to Dolly Parton. But when in '98 he started university, he met The Smithchild. When Smith one day lent him a copy of Daft Punk's 'Homework’ and Cassius' '1999' everything changed.
dillon was immediately hooked on house music and set about learning all he could. He learnt the basics of mixing on a CD player and belt-drive turn-table hooked up through a 2-channel mixer. Then 6 months later he'd spent his entire student loan on a pair of Technics 1200s (because he preferred the silver to black) and was spending every spare minute practicing.
His first gig came just a year later, in 1999: He wasn’t happy with the music being played in his local bar so he and Smithchild decided to set up their own night, playing the music they did like.
In 2001 dillon left Lancaster and moved between New York & London, DJing where he could. But when Dillon was back living in London, in 2004, he met Adam K. Adam & dillon immediately became good friends and soon developed a plan to run a night of their own… Like-Minded People Presents…
