I am a recently widowed man of two young adult children...Christina is a student at Union College and Mike is working full time for Comcast and is on his own (just recently bought a house). My wife and I are very greatful that God provided us with mature, well adjusted kids.I lost my wife to cancer recently and miss her very much. I only thank the Lord for giving her to me and that we shared a love and a home not found everyday. She was one special lady...lover and friend. My trust in the Lord keeps me breathing and gives me the hope that she is the presence of the almightly God and I will be with her again. We lost a son (still born) 13 years ago and I know for sure Christopher & Shelly are with Jesus!My background takes me to New York City, born in Brooklyn, lived briefly in Spanish Harlem (El Barrio) & settled in Da Boogie Down Bronx..Growing up in NYC was terrific (lots of diversity and culture) and I won't change anything about it.Well, I am a very old-fashioned-type of guy who believes that family is the bases of all well being...couples stay married through triumphs and troubles, children are to be nurtured into being respectful, independent, God-fearing adults--boys should be gentlememn & girls, ladies (in dress and demeanor). That the patriarch or matriarch of the family should be and will be respected and admired for they are a world of knowledge and wisdom... and even the youngest and smallest of the family should be well cared for by the older ones of the family...I can keep writing....these are my thoughts.
