Nancy Devine studied at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston MA before coming to Portland, OR some fifteen years ago. Nancy is member of the Portland Opera AGMA chorus and has performed the role of "Tetka" in their recent production of Jenufa. Other roles Miss Devine has sung are "Miss Sweetsong" from Mozart's The Impressario, "Mrs. Gobineau" from The Medium, Getal" from the opera Hansel and Gretal by Humperdink and "Bloody Mary" from South Pacific by Rogers and Hammerstein. Nancy has been a soloist for several concerts with the Portland Symphonic Choir including the Vivaldi Gloria, Bloch Sacred Service and the Rutter Gloria, and has been a soloist for the Oregon Symphony performance of Porgy and Bess. Nancy also sang with the Oregon Symphony's televised performanceof the Verdi Requiem which was taped for the Great Performances series on PBS.
Nancy currently studies voice with the renown Ellen Faull.
