Angstkrieg was formed by Brynjard Tristan (Ex-Dimmu Borgir/ Bloodlust) and guitarist Violator (Bloodlust) back in 1999. They joined forces with drummer Janos DiCroce in 2000, and recorded a 2 track studio rehersal in 2001. During 2002, Janos left the band, and the project was put on hold. In 2003/2004, Tristan recruited a new drummer, Gayvid Rasselhoff, and 2nd guitarist B. Carrington. Tristan & Rasselhoff previously played together in Disiplin. After 2005, due to lack of rehersal locations, Angstkrieg was once again put to temporary rest. At the end of 2006, Violator left the band just as rehersals was set to resume. At the beginning of 2007, the band, now consisting of Tristan on vocals, Rasselhoff on drums and B. Carrington on strings, started rehearsing on a regular basis, and are currently working on new material for a studio recording.
- UPDATE: In 2008 Gape Horn joined the band as a full time member, adding new skills to the allready overskilled band.
