Through your fervent and continuous prayers, this ministry has Catapulted to a whole other level. God has shown us favor and have opened so many doors we never thought were possible. We feel that we owe much to this community and to the fans who have shown us continuous support. Cheraky Toussaint and V.O.I (Voices of Inspiration) artfully blend traditional gospel, R&B, rock, jazz, salsa, and konpa as a vehicle to reach souls for Jesus Christ. Through raw talent and vibrant energy, Cheraky Toussaint and V.O.I . have become the perfect example of how powerful messages, loving lyrics, and soul-moving worship can rock crowds.
The songs, lives, and worship of Cheraky Toussaint & V.O.I took birth in New York*s Haitian Baptist Churches, where the members met and honed their skills. Initially a group of solo musicians and vocalists, Cheraky Toussaint & V.O.I came together to form a distinct, innovative brand of gospel . The group soon found themselves performing and exploring their unique musical gifts with their congregations and friends. Before they knew it, those musical gifts would place them on the path to minister to lost souls through their new brand of gospel.
That opportunity came in July 2003, when Voices of Inspiration were given the chance to take the stage with Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr singers at a concert held at Brooklyn College of New York.
2003 continued to be a moving year for Voices of Inpiration, as they were able to share their unique sound and vibe at the American Museum of Natural History during its annual Kwanzaa Festival. The spiritual and musical blessings have been surrounding Cheraky Toussaint and V.O.I ever since. Theyve Shared stage with a host of national recording artists, such as Fred Hammond, Timothy Wright, Vickie Winans, James Hall & Worship & Praise, Maurrette Brown Clark, J Moss, 21:03, and many more.
In addition to having filled both concert venues and hearts with infectious gospel music, Voices of Inspiration believe their music has the potential to have great impact. Asked about the influence of the group's music, Cheraky Toussaint believes, There is potential in gospel music to touch and unite across barriers. Who knows, perhaps gospel music is the much-sought link that can unite the people of this nation despite race, color, class, and creed.
Cheraky Toussaint and V.O.I continue to bring revolutionary gospel music to souls with their latest full-length album, My Song, My Life, My Worship. The much aniticipated album is a distinguishing collection of EPs and one which is sure to fully minister to your mind, spirit, and soul.
