Born on 4 April 1963 in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, to parents Peter and Jean, Andrea-Marcella was brought up by her working class family and spent her early years listening to the radio, her favourite past time.She was destined to be a star from an early age. As a little girl her favourite place was sitting in the rainbow coloured spotlight cast through her front door’s stained glass window.Her mother and grandmother ran a boarding house in Wakefield. Her father was a miner who did extra work as a chimney sweep.Andrea-Marcella joined the Loose Women panel last year and her warmth and honesty and re-established her as one of Britain’s best loved entertainers.This year Andrea-Marcella embarked on a sell out 45-date UK tour shortly followed by the release of her new album You Belong To Me - A Salute To The Great Ladies Of Song
