It was a big dream for growing up in such a small town but somehow it didn't stop David. David remembers wanting to be a singer/songwriter as far back as a freshman in high school, but it would take several years after that before finally completing a written piece. "I quit college six weeks in, bought a guitar and some lessons. The words came with getting my heart broken and feeling the pain. No matter what I was writing, I could always go back to that pain to get emotion for the song."David moved to Nashville in 1999 with a pocket full of songs and a heart full of dreams. In 2003 he celebrated his first cd release titled "All Of Me". With only 2 co-writes on the cd, David really showed off his writing tallent. With songs like "Jack And Jim" and "So Far Away" (written about his brothers suiside), you can tell this guy has something he wants to say!In early 2008, David celebrated another milestone by releasing "This Ol' Farm" of which every track is soly written by the artist. The Cd title represents a song written about his life growing up on his grandparents farm. The track "Hardest Thing", is a song written for one of his best friends who lost his life to cancer. "I put my heart and soul into this project", says David. "I really wrote it with my heart on my sleave."
