Become lyricists, a real fan of Hip Hop makes rapping an art. Study it & perfect your flow. Think about this: Necessity is the mother of invention. If the need to escape the ghetto mind frame was not important, then Hip Hop would never have been invented. Gang members saw a need to change the community environment(s) in which they were living (ref: the MC:why we do it). They wanted a safe place to raise their kids. So they put down their methods of death and started parties under street lights. It didn't stop there... Self destruction, headed for self destruction...we are on the cusp of tipping over. Not only have many of us accepted the hopeless mind frame, we wear it as a badge. Hopelessness is the beginning of self destruction. It is hopelessness in the wrong environment that will lead to a lifetime of excuses. The condition of a ghetto will always be a ghetto until the people, or a person, in that setting decide that they are not living in an "unchangeable situation." If you choose hopelessness then you will always be hopeless. Wake UpSeek truth. We may not agree on the foundation of the truth. But at least we will both have more than excuses to explain our daily choses.Explore all angles, asking question about everything. Once you find truth you will know it to be true.
