hayley dodwell - flute,
hayley dodwell hails from south leicestershire,england. Originally Hayley picked up the flute aged 11. Since then she has tried her hand at clarinet, guitar and drums. Picking up the flute again at 26, and never looked back......
Hayley loves all kinds of music, especially the Kinks. She admires the talent of many musicians, including Dave Davies, Zak Starkey and Ronnie Wood.....Hayley has worked at Bigwheel Studios, Leicester.
Away from music Hayley enjoys Art. She completed an Art course at Leicester University, 'Paintings at the National Gallery' in 2006.
She also loves photography and has achieved a Photographer Assistants Certificate......
Growing up Hayley enjoyed drama, she was in the school drama club. Her other passion was dancing. Attending a Leicester dance school, appearing in many shows at Leicester's Y Theatre.
Hayley achieved many certificates and awards. She won a shield 2 years running, for highest marks in exams. Plus a silver tray for highest score in tap, and a silver rose bowl for highest score in ballet and national.
Hayley first appeared on stage aged 4, as a ballet dancing flower, in Alice in Wonderland, with her first dance school......
Aged 19, Hayley knew all she wanted to do was to be a musician. Influenced by Samantha Maloney, who she saw on the tv drumming with Hole at Glastonbury. Her drumming amazed her.
Her music journey began..........
2007 after getting her musicians licence,Hayley begins busking on the London Underground.She busks thoughout 2007/2008, performing at many Tube Stations, including, Marble Arch, Embankment, Waterloo, Bank, Westminster, London Bridge and Hammersmith......2009....begins the year in rehearsals at stayfree, leicester.........and playing jazz at the University of Leicester....
