ALL THE DAMN KIDS (plug tickets anyone?)

About Me

FULL E.P. 9th MAY

Formed in early 2008 at their halls of residence through a common love for music, All the Damn Kids started out life under the name Silence in Venice with which they went on to win the Jack Daniels Band Competition at Sheffield Students Union.
Writing and playing to friends whenever possible, their passion, attention to detail and hardworking spirit continued to shine through in their music. Drawing influences from Indie, Folk, Metal, Dance and Pop they went out to create a diverse and eclectic range of sounds.
The addition of Emily on keyboard gave the band a new element in the song writing process and it felt appropriate to change names. The name All the Damn Kids was conjured up eventually, and it is under this name that the band won the Princes Trust Sheffield Battle of the Bands at Plug, in March 2009.
The band have and continue to gig consistently around Sheffield and the UK.

"The band are tight: Spiky guitar riffs accompany lush harmonies, which are all carried by domineering bass lines."

"they clearly enjoy playing music in each others company and what better foundation for a band is there than that!"

Turn up the sound- New York

'' If Spoon and Panic At The Disco had a baby, and Razorlight and Klaxons had a baby. The two babies grew up, fell in love and had a child. That child would be All The Damn Kids. All of their songs are full of electronic/pop/rock fun. All The Damn Kids is the perfect summer band. Lighthearted and jam-packed with catchy beats, be sure to have a listen to All The Damn Kids now to kick off your summer.''

Danny Brewer - Forge Radio

The lead singer has a soft, indyfied voice which resonates high above the flowing guitars and synth (which gel well), whilst the drummer holds the band together. They certainly have a few stories to tell. A solid live act too, damn polite bunch of guys!. Give them a listen, you won't be disappointed.
