About Me

~AANII~
Originally from Farmingdale NY, my name is Maryanne and now I am living in Michigan...Graduated from Main street, Howitt Jr high (new building) but liked the old building better...and F'dale SH in 1973....hung out in "Town" with Sue B, Sheila T Pat A. and I also hung out with Linda P Jeffery H and Tommy P and many more ...We had nothing but good times..
I am a mom of 3 and grandma of 4, I am back in school(NMU) studying The Native American Culture, Film and English.
I have many likes but one of my biggest is the paranormal. Those who may remember me will probably say that this is of the "Norm" for me, and not too many of you were surprised when I got married in a little cemetery ( The Quaker Cemetery)in Bethpage. I have been a paranormal investigator for a long time now and have some great stories to tell...
I am on the Pow Wow committee here in Michigan for the Anishanaabe Ojibwe community. I am a member of the Native American Student Association. I also write for the Anishinaabe Newspaper and I am currently working on a magazine for another group.I am also a member of the pagan community and I did write for a newsletter called The Broom Closet....and I work close with other occult communities and I am currently editor in chief for another Occult online magazine.
My biggest event that I coordinate is called "Crossings". Its a Metaphysical fair where mediums and all kinds of readers like Tarot, Palm and (well you get the idea) but it all comes together in the oldest and most historical hotel here in my town. We have a lot of fun and this is also a passion of mine.
My children are all grown up now. My oldest is 30 and she has 3 beautiful children. My youngest is 19, married and she has a cute as a button daughter of 2.. My son is the middle child and he is attending Central Michigan University working on his masters studying film. My youngest plans on attending in the Fall.
I made this profile to share stories with those who lived in the best decades ever. I sure do miss those days and wish they never left. Lets just have some fun here and remember the times, its what made us who we are today...We were "warned" then about the flashbacks but I never knew they would be so good...lol
oh and if you want me to add anything to the list on the left just drop me a note...what do we remember??
Peace and Love

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Those Were The Days (1968)
Once upon a time there was a tavern...
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours...
And dreamed of all the great things we would do?

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Then the busy years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If by chance I'd see you in the tavern
We'd smile at one another and we'd say....

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose....
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Just tonight I stood before the tavern
Nothing seemed the way it used to be
In the glass I saw a strange reflection
Was that lonely woman really me?

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end...
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Through the door there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh my friend were older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same....

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those we
