Born and Raised in East Los Angeles.... and now calling Riverside my home....I am a Longtime drummer turned Timbale Player. I took up the Instrument because of my Love for the traditional Latin Rhythms it’s sound is used to produce. My craft is a "Work in Progress" so I try and devote as much time as I can to listening to the many artist’s and band’s that utilize it’s unmistakable sound and picking up all that I can, learning from various musicians & styles as well as exchanging views and Ideas. I consider Myself more of a Timbalero, although I have recently incorporated Congas, Bongos and various World and Hand percussion into my repertoire. I have devoted the past 9+ years to learning all I can about these "Latin Percussion" instruments and have combined their sound along with my love for Contemporary music, Funk, R&B and various Hard and classic Rock to embody a "Fusion" that has become my unique style. I have done a limited amount of recording sessions but I primarily consider myself a Club Musician. I have Played with and sat in with a diverse number of Groups and extremely Talented Musicians, in and around the Los Angeles, Orange,San Bernardino & Riverside County areas of Southern California. Latin Project, Crystal and the Diamond’s, Abraxas, Blue Haze, The Mad Latin’s, 24/7....to name a few. Playing Casino’s, County Fair’s and outdoor Concert’s to Private Parties and BackYard BBQ’s. I have played a multitude of genres from Traditional Salsa, Latin Jazz to Contemporary Jazz, Top 40 and Funk. I enjoy expressing myself through the music I enhance and Look forward to future collaborations and continuing my "Rhythmic Therapy" for a long time to come!!
