I like the same things everyone else does, and could spend forever listing them. But I won't. In honest truth, more than anything, I like ideas. An idea is the forefront of human creation. It can move things in ways you'd never have known. But having said that, my favorite part of an idea is that it can change things. I see ideas in the world every day. Even society and civilisation is based on the idea that we can become more than simply animals/mammals and have a fully functioning world.
DAYDREAM
My head is in the clouds,
Escaping from reality.
My attention is in outerspace,
And not where it's supposed to be.
Dreaming of being so lost
In a neverending place.
Be content with nothing;
Pushing my existence
For the thrill of the chase.
Reality will always be real.
I cannot avoid what I feel.
Into my place every night,
I have Infinity in my sight.
The Three Laws Of Robotics
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
I love ideas of the future. I can spend days imagining how things can change and be so different from how they are today. I'd like to find an idea that I could spend my entire life working at, helping it evolve and become more integrated into this world; one true idea that would help change something and make it work.
I'm also very much interested in Space exploration. Maybe it's the dreamer/adventurer side of me that is rarely seen. The Universe is the only thing that has yet to be fully explored. We have telescopes and satellites to see so far already, but the real challenge is manned exploration to the stars. If we believe enough, it is a common goal that can put our differences aside for the good of the species as a whole. It is not a competition between countries to get up into deep space first. The stars aren't going anywhere. Imagine what could be achieved if we all worked together and made it happen.
My friends are my friends because they are understanding and inspiring to how the world is around me. They have taught me about how to be a better human being just by being them. My closest friends who know me inside out have shown me that it's okay to be me, no matter how random and strange it could get. My family are wonderful. They are the ones who I try to make proud with everything I do. Especially since I am no longer in the youngest generation of family. It's a part of getting older and growing up.
The Human Race is the most real thing there is. I have known that for a long while. It is the only thing that should matter. We are amazing, unique, and intelligent. We can be great if we see past differences, and stop finding ever more ways to divide ourselves in our imperfect civilised society.
But I am not blind or ignorant. I know, accept and believe in a higher power. Outside of our Human world, there are laws of physics and nature that make the world we live in work. Physicists have spent their entire lives studying the way things are in the hope to understand the world around us. It is a force of nature that spreads throughout and around the universe we are in. It is a force that is just as alive as we are. There are rules and laws of which we are slowly learning.
