Mike Mutchler had a dream of owning his own pawn shop in the Branson area, and he truely wanted one on Highway 76. He worked his ass off for several months (as did some of his friends) in order to make his dream come true. In late June of 2007 the doors to Branson West Pawn were officially opened. He was happy as could be and proud of what he was able to do.Unfortunately the dream was short lived for him. Six weeks after the pawn shop opened, Mike passed away. Knowing what that shop meant to him, his daughter and I knew that if it was possible, we had to keep it open. After it was closed for about a month, we were able to open the doors again. We live too far away to run the everyday business, so on our latest trip to Branson, we sold the pawn shop to Jason and Cassie Brewer. Mike had told me several times that Jason was like the son he never had, so in a way, the pawn shop will never leave the family. Jason and Cassie are great people and I know that Mike would be proud to have Jason running the shop that he started!
