Pet UFO

About Me

Pet UFO existed in its main form from the start of 1992 until the middle of 1995, with a brief epilogue with another singer until late 1996. They were a punk band, for the most part, based in Columbus, Ohio. They remain the only band in the history of the world to use the phrase "noncyclic photophosphorylation" in a song. Much of their fast-loud-and-angry recorded work was recorded in a scenic woodside rural-Ohio studio early in the morning. Their second album was put out by a New York record label run by a guy who later appeared on one of those video-countdown shows on country-music cable television. All four members of the band went on to do other musical things with other people. Sou became active in the poetry world. Three of the four members became parents. However, the four have decided to briefly interrupt 13 years of getting on with life to have a single performance back in Columbus at Bernie’s, as have the members of former fellow mid-nineties punk band My White Bread Mom. Why not? It’s not like it counts or anything.Don B. sings "Batman" with Pet UFO, 3/29/08"Chess Club" and "Pigeon Heaven," 3/29/08
