roy g. biv was a great guy. he makes up the colors of the rainbow. to honor him, the residents of seven glenwood are holding parties throughout the year - each one a different color for a color of the rainbow. red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. at those parties, everything will be that party's color - from the beer to the food, from the decorations to the party attire. even the music has something to do with the theme.
the red party was held on saturday, feb. 9, 2008. we drank red stripe and ate red tortillas. we listened to "some red handed slight of hand" by cursive. we had a red carpet and red string lights.
the orange party was held on saturday, march 15, 2008. we drank screwdrivers and mimosas and ate cheetos and goldfish. we listened to the smashing pumpkins and "orange rhyming dictionary." we had homemade saffron ice cream and orange creamsicles.
the yellow party was held on saturday, june 21, 2008. we drank banana rum and yellow tail and ate popcorn and grilled pineapple. we had pineapple and lemon jellow shots. we listened to "good day sunshine" and the lemonheads. and it seemed like everyone had yellow sunglasses.
the green party was held on saturday, aug. 2, 2008. we drank heiny and absolut pears and ate guacamole pringles and green candy. we had lime jello shots. we listened to green day and jade tree bands. we had green slinkies, maracas and of course, incredible hulk hands.
the blue party was be held saturday, nov. 29. it was also the day before my birthday and two weeks after jonathans so we celebrated that, too! we listened to the blue album and watched blue planet on tv. we snacked on blue cupcakes and had blueberry jello shots.
