About Me

METAL NIGHT has been a celebrated occasion in Buffalo for many years. During it's early days it was done at Broadway Joe's and most notably at Frank's on Allen Street. Sandy, Bez and Binky Karp were it's original caretakers and they put METAL NIGHT on every week for quite some time.
Eventually Frank's had to be shut down and it seemed that METAL NIGHT would die with it. Until the idea was brought that the torch should be passed. Binky Karp brought two new faces on board, Joe Siracuse and Tony Lorenzo, two members of the Buffalo death metal group SONS OF AZRAEL. They needed a fourth person to welcome the job, someone with a love for the music and a wide knowledge of it. They found both in Brian Howard. The four of them made a deal with Jesse from Club Diablo to do METAL NIGHT on a weekly basis and that's how it was carried out for a while. Until Binky could no longer do the job on a weekly basis, then the boys brought in Matt Backlas.
Joe, Tony, Brian and Matt did METAL NIGHT on a weekly basis until they themselves had too much going on in their personal lives and had to put METAL NIGHT to bed once again. For a while that's how it stayed.
The idea was brought up a few months ago to do METAL NIGHT again, this time only once a month. Club Diablo owner Jesse called Joe Siracuse to talk it over and just like that, METAL NIGHT had returned once again.
And here we are today...still proudly doing the one, the only, METAL NIGHT.
