Going coast to coast a few times in 2002-03 led to almost two full years of being on the road. But the rewards were worth it... there's nothing like traveling and getting paid to do it, and seeing music every night. And working for a band will make it happen. A yacht cruise around San Diego bay on Super Bowl weekend... complete with seals hanging out on the bouys in the marina. Seeing the Red Rocks in different seasons, the blizzards in Idaho and upstate New York, the warmth of the Florida sun two days after Christmas, lighting fireworks off in Chicago after a Phish show, the beauty of the whole state of Oregon, the salt flats in Nevada... and that's just the tip of the iceberg in the tens of thousands of miles that I drove. Whew!
