My daughter Carolyn and I, first met Michael Bryers over seven years ago. We were immediately impressed by this very talented indie singer/songwriter, and his good looks too of course ;-). He not only writes all of his own songs, but he and his good mate and guitarist Dan Webbe produced his last album 'Frangipani' at their 'Superball Studios' Sunshine Coast. Michael once told us, that as he wanted to stay in the music industry he and Dan built their own studio under Dan's house, as that was the best way they could continue! We saw Michael at 'The Writers in the Round' at Tamworth this year, along with Luke O'Shea and The Bobkatz. This was a most enjoyable morning and Luke and Michael bounced off each other beautifully, The Bobkatz said that it should have been called "the Luke and Michael comedy show", not only talented singers but very funny indeed.. May have missed their real calling as comedians! NOT ;-) Luke was telling us that his dad always used to say to him, re country music "listen to the words son, listen to the words". Michael's talented songwriting is wise beyond his years, no wasted words just pure magic and topical songs coming from his heart and sometimes a deep despair, during troubled times in his life and the lives of others! Michael has the ability to make you 'Feel' how other people live.. this is portrayed so aptly in a song of that name on his album..
