Nick Hutchinson is a singer songwriter born and raised in Brisbane. He combines emotive lyrics with memorable melodies to create songs that people can relate to and use to explore themselves. His musical journey has been in the making for quite some years, however it wasn’t until 2007 when he entered the fRETfEST Find Of The Year competition that he began to believe that a life of being a successful musician was possible. He began to perform regularly from 2007 onwards and has since gone on to play over 150 shows throughout the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
To date he has released 2 small EPs titled ‘From The Ground Up’, with Volume 1 selling out in only a few months. Volume 2 is currently still selling however they are moving fast! At present Nick has teamed up with another talented musician, Trent Leggatt and has started performing as a duo. This is in preparation for moving towards a full band setup in 2010. Nick is currently performing at a range of well-known live music venues throughout Brisbane and is continuing to impress audiences with his songs. Come check out a show!
