Bently Priory " Just A Band"

About Me

Rob Dodkin - Lead Vocals and Bass Guitarist.
Rob Dodkin is Bently Priorys charismatic front man and main song writer in the band. He has been writing songs from the age of 15 and has penned songs for over 12 different bands and solo artists in this time. Rob is also the bands bass player and prefers the rich tones of a Fender Jazz 1975 through an Ashdown MAG 300. Originally a guitarist rob converted to bass in 2003 and has never looked back. Influences include Peter Doherty, Flea, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Derw McConnell, Carlos Barrett, James Dean Bradfeild and Frank Sinatra to name a few.
Ben Dye - Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals.
Ben Dye is part of the original Bently Priory line up, Ben has been playing the guitar since he was able to hold one and with the recent departure of Rob Hall, Ben has had to make the decision whether to move away from his rhythm only position to help replace the gap left by Rob. Ben has been responsible for the driving force behind Bently Priory's music for a number of years. Bens influences include Oasis, Paul Weller and The Smiths. Ben favors the sounds of VOX amplification, giving him the warm vintage sound to his sun burst Rickenbacker that has been a major contributor to Bently Priory and the sound you hear today. Ben Dye's stage presence alone is worth seeing, partnered with Rob Dodkin, the two put on a show that makes the whole stage come to life.
Richard Sussex - Drums and Backing Vocals.
Richard Sussex was the last to join Bently Priory. Head hunted for his talents in early 2006 Richard was eager to make his mark on the band. Richard's reliable beats and adrenaline fuelled performances have made him an asset to Bently Priory. With influences ranging from Steve White to Chad Smith, Tico Torres to John Bonham, Richard has performed in various bands over the years which has helped him gain experience and confidence he needs to succeed, in his own words "None of my previous bands have even come close the quality and enjoyment i receive from being part of Bently Priory". Richard prefers Pearl Drums for there reliability and great sounding tones. Richard has experience in musical engineering and is often found behind his mixing desk, surrounded by computer screens developing new music.
