The idea was simple and so is the paradim. "We like good records. And we will work a good record till the grooves are gone".Lono Brazil a well respected record executive and DJ/Producer/Remixer originally started Cottage Groove as an imprint to put out a white label. But decided to use his exprience in production, artist development, marketing, promotion, art direction, sales, lifestyle co-ordination and a love for "GOOD RECORDS" to create an organization that could expidite this process and do what the MAJORS DO! SALE RECORDS!Genres include Deep Soulful House, Afro-Beat, Broken-Beat, Downtempo, Acid-Jazz & Nu-Jazz, Soul, Rare Groove and DJ Compilations.The first release on the label was on Jan 11, 2003 "Abreast Of Soul Vol.1" mix CD. With distribution partially handled by KSD & scheduled for a re-release Nov 2005 in Europe & Asia and distribution handled by Redline Music Distribution.The first single released was on April 25, 2004 on then named Cottage Groove Innertainment was "Ooh! Love Is.... Produced by Lono Brazil. It included a re-edit Vocal version by Danny Krivit. The follow-up single "Enfermo del Amor" by Lono Brazil, and additional production and mixing done By Jere McAllister Producer of Mr. A.L.I. (West End Records).A Chicago native and New York resident, Founder Lono Brazil a former Executive at Capitol/EMI Records. He is better known in the music industry in Hip-Hop & R&B circles as an Executive Producer/Artist Manager/Consultant launching the careers or working with artist such as The Beastie Boys, The Pharcyde, Foxy Brown, Kool Keith, Adriana Evans, Channel Live, Spragga Benz, Ras Kass to name a few.
