The Story of Apple
once upon a time, there was this person named Apple. she was a happy go-lucky kind of gal. she grew up with her mommy and step-daddy, who she loved very, very much. they moved around a bit, mostly around the Bay Area til her parents settled with their own house in Central.
but along the way she had lots of friends, a *HUGE* fambly, and a lot of laughs.
high school was kinda fun, but she knew she had to get away from that one-horse town in the middle of California. so she went to college in Santa Cruz.
the SC was a big change. she became political, did lots of activism (meetings, organizing, rallies, plays, conferences...). she met lots of people, did lots of stuff, and really found herself. this was especially important as Apple got lost very easily.
then graduation came... she loved her major, but she didn't know what to do! so she moved to Las Vegas.
she had gone to Vegas many times to visit her father, but it wasn't until moving there did she realize what a shithole it really was too.
she took a couple jobs here and there, knowing what she wanted to do in life but not really sure how to get there.
then her *ahem* asshole! father said, "well, i'll pay for nursing skool, then buy you a car when you graduate!"
Moms back in Cali said, "well, you can't pay for film skool yourself, your father obviously doesn't want to help you out if it's not medicine, and i'm too broke to help you even though i'd love to. so you should take your dad up on his offer. then you can support my broke-and-sick-and-entirely-over-worked ass when you finish film skool while being a nurse. plus, you get a car."
and now, boys, girls, and all-encompasing genders, Apple is freakin' FINALLY out of the pit of despair called nursing skool, ready to become a pediatric nurse and apply for film skool.
but after failing the NCLEX the first time, she's just hanging out, NOT studying like she should, and hitting on straight girls. but, at least she can use the latter to write a book!
although she has a new, snazzy HP laptop named Karl, she never got that that damn car her dad's been promising for 6 years....
p.s. i'm homesick. who'd ever thought i'd miss that smelly, one-horse town?! at least it's by the Bay!
