About Me

* * * * * * * *
At the moment...different sounds are being tested.No animal testing...just sounds.
So I guess I should probably put something in this section.
Well...I guess you can say I grew up with music as a "second language" not really understanding all the lingo but dying to know what everything meant. My Dad's side of the family are the ones who really get your blood pumin' when it comes to music. They have all inspired and motivated me in one way or another.When I first actually picked up my dad's guitar asking to learn some chords, I was about 7 or 8 years old but the guitar was WAY to big for my size and my fingers throbbed after each chord I learned. I ened up playing viola shortly after and then the cello; picking up some basic piano along the way. I got my first keyboard when I was in 6th grade. (Yes I know a cello is bigger than a guitar and therefore bigger than I was at the time.)
I gave up Cello for some time...[mostly because] I thought I woulnd't be accepted by the "cool kids" at school because of it. Turns out they didn't like me anyway! Sweet huh?! In high school, I was assigned a project in my Junior English class [2004?] which was to read some kind of "How to" book and learn something. I saw it as an opportunity to pick up guitar again (since I had been writing lyrics the last couple years) and an opportunity to inherit my OWN guitar! My dad was generous enough to purchase a pink Daisy Rock acoustic guitar (starter pack)...yes it was a box guitar and my pride and joy. After reading a "how to" book...I was required to write a paper, or do a presentation on my learning experience. I told my teacher I wanted to write a paper (again...fear of the cool kids) but he insisted I do the presentation. So I supposed you can say my first "show" was in my Junior English class my only performance piece being "Free Falling" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The class loved it...and some approached me afterward telling me how "Cool" it was. I was SET...this is what I wanted to do...however, I received a C- on the assignment. Psh.
All this time I was an all around aspiring performer including things such as acting, dancing, and writing things that I really didn't have the guts to play. I began collecting guitars and other instuments with my dad...Ebay works wonders. I now have 4 guitars...3 of which are Daisy Rock and one is an Epiphone...I also have a cello which I hope to pick up on again in the near future. *After every instrument purchase...normally without Mom knowing...she would freak about the lack of space we had for all this STUFF.* But she loves it. =]
NOW...I am taking guitar lessons from a great pal, Ryan Richko. I am in college as a full-time student trying to figure out how I'm going to make this work for me. You see musicians and artists give up all the time...and I don't want that to be me. I love what I am doing (as slow as it is all coming together, I love it.)
So watch for updates on anything and everything! It's only going to get better. =] MyGen Profile Generator
