About Me

In 2001 the APOCALYPSE RADIO record "ONE MORE REVOLUTION" was made in a shitty little rental house in Orem, UT on an 8-Track digital recorder. Apocalypse Radio began in 2000 as 2 friends (Brian Patchett & Branden Steineckert) who took their love of punk rock and writing/recording and put it into a cheap digital 8 Track recorder. The record came together combining efforts from both Brian and Branden. In most cases Brian would have a song idea... we'd work it out, track it roughly on Brians 8-Track. Then we'd track on Brandens 8-Track. Branden would play a drum track, then Brian would play the bass track, then Branden would play his guitar parts, Brian would record leads...topped of by both of us singing. It was all just for fun, but we liked what we were creating. So we got a few friends to play with us and we played live shows all throughout 2001. After the release of this D.I.Y record in 2001 and a handful of shows things started to slow down as everyone had other projects. Brandens other band at the time (The Used) began to tour heavily making it hard to continue playing A.R. shows. Brian later joined a band (Broke) and toured, made a record as well. Branden is now the full time drummer of Rancid (one of our biggest influences who's song "The Sentence" is where we got the band name Apocalypse Radio). We wanted to make this site and share with all of you the music we were making just for the hell of it on our 8-tracks. Sometimes the most honest, real art is when its made with no intention of anyone ever hearing it. Just doing it for the right reasons...the love of punk rock! There was no myspace, no record deals, just a couple instruments and an 8-track. We had no intention of getting this out to the masses...but now we're sharing it with you. If you like it...thanks, if not...we don't give a fuck! This shit was for us. We could only upload 6 songs from the record for you to hear.....Now we've set it up so that you can buy the entire "One More Revolution" album right here.
