Corey Thompson is an Oklahoma native now residing in Seattle WA . A singer, songwriter, and vocal producer, he has been a featured soloist in Intiman's Black Nativity and Seattle Repertory Theatre's Rejoice. He has also performed background vocals for Michelle Lang and Tonya Baker. On Sundays, he can be heard singing with the praise and worship team at C.B.S.R (Church by the side of the road).Yes Corey Thompson is a singer, composer and arranger but most of all he is an anointed man of God. Often called "jazzy,” he has an energy that just doesn't seem to stop. In the words of Michelle Lang, he just knows how to work a song. Corey Thompson is working on his long awaited sole project; it will be out sometime this year. When he is not singing or at church, he's at his other job styling hair yes he is a man of many trades. Corey has also been working with the youth and young adults in and around the Seattle community since 2002.I've been in the some of the same places that the kids get themselves' into. I believe when we develop partnerships with young people we should try to make it work by remembering what it was like to be 16 and 17. I try to tell them to take advantage of what’s here for them because when I was growing up there was a lot less help for young people!!!!
